Silhouette® Window Shadings

Only Silhouette window shades have soft fabric vanes suspended between two sheer knit facings that soften and diffuse light.

The vanes tilt to create the desired amount of light and privacy.

When raised, the entire shading disappears into a sleek headrail for a clean appearance and an uninterrupted view. In the open position you can see out but people cannot see in, providing the ultimate in privacy.

And even in the open position you can reduce the amount of UV rays entering your home by 86%. This is an especially important feature if you like to keep your blinds open during the day but are concerned with UV damage to floors and furniture.

Silhouette shadings are available in 2″, 3″ and 4″ vane sizes and come in a wide range of fabrics and colours. They fit beautifully in specialty shaped windows, including arches and angles, giving any room a finished look.

Motorization options

Available with PowerRise® motorization with remote control Hunter Douglas’ motorized lifting system combines both line-of-sight (using infrared technology) and out-of-sight (using radio frequency technology) control of your window coverings.

To raise or lower individual window treatments, simply point the remote at the receiver eye (either built into the headrail or on a satellite eye) and press the UP or DOWN button to operate the window covering. Or select a group (or groups) of window coverings to move together, even in multiple rooms.

The PowerRise battery-powered system is an easy to install motorization option with no additional wiring required. A hard wired version is also available which can be seamlessly integrated with any home automation system.
