Light-filtering sheer drapes

Sheer window coverings are perfect for diffusing incoming light and casting a warm glow while maintaining your view. They also reduce glare on your electronics and provide protection from the damage the sun’s UV rays can cause.

One of the most common types of sun damage is to drapes. Fabric will fade from direct sun exposure and will also begin to deteriorate and weaken in places. You can add a liner to your drapes to protect the fabric or install a second hardware track to add a sheer inner drape.

Other sun damage can include fading and deterioration to upholstery fabrics, rugs, flooring and artwork. A great way to protect your furnishings is to add motorized drapery tracks to your sheers and set them on a timer to close when the sun’s rays are the most intense in your room – even when you aren’t home!

And today’s sheer fabrics come in many different colours and patterns so they can also add a beautiful decorating element to any room.
