We can create: Flat valances – A tailored look with no fullness in the treatment, accented by banding, trim or a cut-out design. The beauty of the fabric is the focal point of this style and it is usually found in a casual or formal room setting. Swag valances – A trapezoid-shaped valance where the sides are gathered or pleated to create rounded folds that are draped on decorative hardware. Gathered swags are usually found in casual rooms while pleated swags are found most often in formal rooms. Gathered valances – A simple, easy to make design made with 2 ½ to 3 times the fullness. This treatment is usually found in a casual room. Pleated valances – A clean, contemporary look with the fabric folded and stitched with up to three times the fullness.
