JOLENE McGOWAN
With over 15 years in the window covering industry Jolene has been able to consistently provide a balance between theory and practice. Jolene's fresh ideas to design and open minded approach is much welcomed by her clients. Rather than focusing on a single style, Jolene sees her clients' desires from a practical and updated perspective that fulfills their need of function and personal taste.
From the start of a project right to it's completion, Jolene's attention to detail ensures that the right materials and products are selected for the job and that their installation is effectively delivered.
GORDON HEATH
Gordon has been involved in the Window Fashions Industry since the late 80’s.
As Gordon's mother was a dressmaker, his love of fabrics comes naturally with the feel, fall and drape of different fabrics comes naturally. Gordon has covered every aspect of the profession from installation to fabrication and design. Working with one of the largest Interior Design firms in Vancouver for twelve years has given Gordon the experience of handling a wide range of projects.
Large projects and small receive the same intensity of attention. Gordon works with each client to ensure that the end results are a true reflection of the client’s tastes and personality. His experience with fabrication and installation ensure that the product, whether it is valances, blinds or drapes, will not only look great but carry out their practical functions as well.
Gordon’s goal for each of his customers is an installation with no surprises - except beautiful ones.
LOUANNE LITKE
Louanne, a native of Richmond, BC , comes from a multi-generational family of custom home designers, builders, and master furniture craftspeople. She has provided home decorating services to clients around the world, as well as numerous corporate projects including a major five-star hotel.
Louanne was one of the six local designers on HGTV’s Love it or Lose It, a Vancouver-based home decorating program that challenged the homeowner’s taste and expectations. Lawrence McDonald, the show’s Creative Director, described Louanne as “a natural who transcends the screen. She has an innate talent for home decorating and her passion is infectious. Louanne really listens to her clients to understand what they want and provides original, innovative ideas to help bring their dreams to life.”
KEN WALKER
Ken has been involved in the home decorating business since 1961. He began with a large carpet chain eventually opening his own carpet business. Over the years he established a drapery and home accessory department. Always the entrepreneur, Ken then opened two stores in Winnipeg that became very successful.
In the early 70's, Ken moved to Vancouver and opened two more stores. Eventually selling these enterprises, Ken enjoyed 2 years of semi-retirement before he decided to re-enter the home decorating business; this time as a decorator for Arlene's Interiors.
Ken has given many group consultations, teaching colour trends, types of fabrics and colour co-ordination. Ken also has an extensive knowledge of blinds that enables him to find the right product for every window of a customer's home.
